I recently took to the mic and did an interview with Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci on the MOOCH FM podcast where I talked about some things that were challenging for me and what I did to overcome them.

You know that I can talk for days about almost anything and I tried to stay on track but if you know me, I get excited so listen to the whole thing because I get deep…

One of the things that I talked about was that I am going to be on the show, Undercover Billionaire, that’s coming out on Discover in January.

When this show approached me I thought to myself…

Could I do it? Should I do it? I was about 50 percent sure that I could pull this off. I would be in a new town, I have my businesses to run, I have a real estate portfolio that’s worth 2 billion – how could I ignore it all to be someone new? Could I really leave my family, the money, plane, connections, and all that? When all you have is $100, you realize what’s really important.

And here’s the thing, if you have…

  1. Courage
  2. Creativity
  3. Commitment
  4. Persistence
  5. Work Ethic
  6. The ability to communicate with anyone about anything

…you can never be broke.

This all ties into why I started the 10X movement, to truly help myself and help people.

10X is a multiplier that suggests that you must scale 10 times bigger than your imagination yet 10 times bigger than what you think you need, what your community needs, what your employees need, what your family needs. Take that number and scale it to 10 times the amount and take 10 times more actions to get it…

…and then, and ONLY then, might you be safe enough to take care of yourself and your family and survive into the future.

Here’s something you might not know – boredom is my biggest fear. I don’t want to become bored or complacent. Ever since I was 10 years old, when I get bored or complacent, I would get in trouble. So the best thing for me is to be a bit uncertain.

When I’m uncertain, I’m scared. When I’m scared, I’m not bored. When i’m bored, I’m a little depressed. I need the fear, I need the uncertainty, I need a challenge.

This is why I agreed to be on Undercover Billionaire. This show gave me an opportunity to answer the questions…

“If had nothing, could I make it? Could I take $100 and turn it into $1million dollars?”

Also, could I handle the uncertainty? Could I handle the fear? Could I handle not having my name?!?!

Trust me, when you get everything taken away from you you won’t be bored anymore, you’ll be terrified – I promise you this. I truly believe that when people get terrified, but not overwhelmed by the terror, that’s what really creates creativity, if you have commitment.

Be great,

Grant Cardone
